Kuch Naa Kaho (2003)
This is a cheesy lighthearted show that was fun to watch. Also it had every single trope, especially when it comes to the musical numbers. There is an engagement dance number, a fall in love song with weird costumes and scenery (including flower covered rafts), the club dance number. Plot wise there are misunderstandings, cute kids to clear up those problems, jerk exes, big resolutions at weddings, the works. That doesn't make it less fun to watch. It's a very fun movie to watch.
Also, its pretty great that it's Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, since they got married like 4 years later. Their chemistry is pretty obvious in this one, and helps the silliness of the plot move forward. They meet on the way to their friend's engagement, and he uses her to get the earlier flight, so when they meet she is obviously mad at him for lying for his own selfishness. They are forced to be friends as she is forced to accompany him on a series of blind dates (as a chaperon, which is hilarious). Then they have more obstacles and misunderstandings before they can fall in love, but then the ex comes back and ruins things for a bit. Classic romcom storyline. But both Abishek and Aishwarya make it work and the show is very enjoyable, even if you have to laugh at all the overused standard song and dance numbers. It's ok. Sit back and enjoy.
