Dil Se.. (1998)

I never thought there would be a Shahrukh Khan film that I just outright hated... but this one wins that prize.  It's just... what?  What the...?  Seriously?

3 Idiots (2009)

All I can say is that Aamir Khan does it again.  This movie is fabulous.  It's meaningful, dramatic, lovely, hilarious, and delightful.

Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011)

I wasn't expecting to like this one as much as I did.  And I didn't just enjoy it because I had low expectations.  It legitimately impressed me.  The premise is kind of interesting.  We've got a conman, who specializes in conning women, and then the three women who find out and get together to con him back so they can get their money back.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012)

So, if you haven't already noticed, Yash Chopra is a very big name in Bollywood.  The biggest probably.   This movie is the last one he directed, and he must have thrown in every trope he ever does or ever has been done into one movie for one final wah-bam!

Chandni Chowk to China (2009)

I only decided to watch this one based on the premise.  I love Kung Fu movies, even really bad ones, so I was curious to see what the Bollywood take on a Kung Fu movie would be like off.  I mean this is essentially a Kung Fu spoof movie.  It's got Akshay Kumar, who I've only seen in that Yeh Dillagi film that was so bad,  and Deepika Padukone.

Swades (2004)

Another really good movie.  What I loved about this one is that it's less about the love story between two people and more about falling in love with India.

Barfi! (2012)

This movie is pretty amazing.  I am especially impressed with Ranbir Kapoor.  He plays the lead role so well and expressively that I'm putting him on a list of actors whose movies I need to watch.  I am also super super impressed with Priyanka Chopra, once again.  She is a real actress who isn't just attractive, but has some serious acting chops.

I Hate Luv Stories (2010)

This is supposed to be something of a spoof of the typical or classic Bollywood love stories, but the only part I liked of this whole movie was the part at the very beginning where it showed the romantic scenes from all of the most famous romance films, starting with DDLJ all the way through Hum Tum, Kuch Kuch, and so on.  You know, the really good ones that everyone should love, and then the movie proceeds to be super lame.

Kismat Konnection (2008)

This one was just kinda meh.  I didn't hate it, but didn't love it either.  It does have hot hot hot Shahid Kapoor.  It's very loosely based on Just My Luck... I guess.  There is the whole good luck/bad luck thing, but that's about the end of it.  I think my favorite part was Juhi Chawla's gypsy fortune teller.  She was funny.

Dostana (2008)

I didn't even finish this one, so I shouldn't really bother writing a post on it.  I obviously didn't like it, since I didn't finish it.  I don't remember why I bothered starting to watch it.  Hmmmm.  Morbid curiosity?  It seems to be loosely based on Now I Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.

Mohabbatein (2000)

The thing I love about this one is that it has a ton of big group dances and they are mostly connected to some kind of holiday or festival, such as Holi.  It's also got an awesome star studded cast from Shahrukh Khan to  Amitabh Bachchan.  It also has not just one love story, but like four... maybe even five.

Veer-Zaara (2004)

This is just what I needed after picking two in a row that were not what I needed.  But it's yet another one destined to make you cry.  It also has a lot to do with the lameness of politics and prejudice, and a little bit progressiveness and women's rights.

Om Shanti Om (2007)

I think I judges this one too harshly when I watched it.  Maybe because of how disappointed I was with Paheli, I really needed a high quality Shahrukh film.  This one was just not quite that.  It;s probably way better than I remember it being, but definitely on the more cheesy side, which was a problem for me at the time.  But even as I am writing this, it is clearly an awesome movie, so I'm going to have to watch it again.

Paheli (2005)

This one is weird.  It kinda weirded me out too much for me to really like it.  Especially the ending.  That left a bad taste in my mouth.  weird.

Lagaan (2001)

I don't know why it took so long for me to watch this... no wait, I do.  It was a matter of availability.  At the time I couldn't seem to find it anywhere, but I kept hearing how wonderful it was, so I ended up just buying it for myself.  Then my friend (not the Disney Channel one, but one who actually appreciates good movies) wanted to watch it with me so I kept waiting for her, until I got fed up waiting and just watched it for myself.

Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega (2001)

I did just watch this one because Saif was in it... but it was actually pretty good anyways.  It's a crime comedy.

Devdas (2002)

Do you need a good cry?  If so, Shahrukh Khan is always the way to go.  This is like the sadder, more tear filled version of Parineeta.  Well, they really have nothing to do with each other, but there are a lot of similarities.

Parineeta (2005)

After all those cheesy ones, I managed to get myself back on track by going back to my first love, Saif Ali Khan.  Parineeta was recommended to my by a friend who I discovered also watches Bollywoods, and she kindly lent it to me.  Thank goodness, because I needed something serious with an actual sexy man (aka Saif, rawr!)

What's Your Rashee? (2009)

So I have to admit the premise for this one sounded interesting, but I really only watched because Disney Channel Friend struck again.  Sadly for this one, I didn't like it.  Actually I might have actually hated it.  Hate is a strong word and I probably use is more often than I actually need to, but I really didn't like this one.  It had potential, but I think it was handled poorly.

Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002)

So I actually tried watching this one several times before I actually made it all the way through.  It's just a bit cheesy and you need to be in the mood for cheesy to want to watch it.  I happened to have a friend who loved cheesiness.  Her favorite thing to watch was Disney Channel, which I believe makes you stupider the longer you watch it.  It's quite bad.  Honestly, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai is way better than the Disney Channel.  It's not too bad really, just a bit cheesy.

Dil Bole Hadippa! (2009)

So, I decided to watch the movie because of Rani Mukerji and how pretty much awesome she is.  Then I realized, as I was looking at the promo poster for it that she is also the little bearded dude on the poster too.  I wouldn't have guessed.  Seriously.  She's awesome.

Dil To Pagal Hai (1997)

I don't want to say that this was just another film that I watched just because of Shahrukh... but it kinda is.  It's been a couple of years, and I honestly don't remember much about it, mostly just that I watched it and it wasn't too bad.  So after refreshing my memory I will expound.

Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge (2011)

When you watch enough of a certain type of film, then Netflix starts suggesting them to you.  I'm pretty sure that the only things recommended to me on Netflix are East Asian Dramas, East Asian Action Thrillers, and Bollywoods.  After a while of indulging in the Saif, Shahrukh, and Aamir, I decided to branch out and watch another film that was just recommended to me based on what I had been watching a lot.

Taare Zameen Par (2007)

Aamir Khan is back in my life with another film with a message.  Taare Zameen Par is about a dyslexic boy (Darsheel Safary) who is having difficulty with school and is generally misunderstood by everyone, especially his parents who don't want the same of a "special needs" type situation.

Pyaar Impossible (2010)

K, so I decided to watch this one based on the premise, I honestly don't remember if Uday Chopra was big enough reason to me at that point.

Yes Boss (1997)

Another not so great 90s film... even though it is Shahrukh.  The problem with this one was that it's just a silly premise.  Shahrukh is like the ultimate yes man and his boss is the world's biggest philanderer.  The stupid things that Shahrukh has to go through for his boss is probably the silliest part, but the film is still kinda cute is a dumb/cheesy way.

Ra.One (2011)

Shahrukh Khan AND it's a Bollywood Sci-Fi.  Cool.
