Bang Bang! (2014)

Action Comedy: 8/10

This is Knight and Day, Bollywood style.  I liked it better than Knight and Day (which I liked okay) but maybe that is because Hrithik Roshan is a million times sexier than Tom Cruise.  Just saying.  I also liked the adaptations that made it more pertinent to a Bollywood, such as the Hope Diamond being stolen and the importance of family, etc.  I mean there was a little of that in the original, but not as much as this one.  Not Bollywood cry style anyway.

So, Katrina Kaif is this bank receptionist who is single and living a boring life.  She lives with her grandma who wants her to get married really badly.  So after realizing how lonely she is, she signs up for an online dating account.  Instead of her blind date from the website, she ends up getting entangled with Hrithik Roshan, who is the international thief responsible for stealing the hope diamond, which was on display in the Tower of London at the time.  This was a job requested by these international gangsters who didn't want a peace treaty signed.  This means that both the police and these thugs are after the thief and now the girl too.

While Katrina Kaif is not my favorite, I am beginning to thing that she is not so bad.  She did a really good job in this being the clueless girl who is also hilarious.  She is like relatably dorky too.  From the hum drum life to the ahhhh! I'm being chased by bad guys and this guy keeps killing people and blowing things up.  That's another thing.  Way more ridiculous special effects and way cool things that are probably impossible, like diving off cliffs and speeding through the ocean on little jet packs and things like that.  Or the fact that he didn't die in that explosion, etc.

And as always there are good dance numbers and Hrithik has a rubber torso... and impossibly long legs.  Man, I love watching him dance.  Especially in muscle revealing attire.  Wah ha.

Favorite Song:
