So my friend lizabreff has finally found her Bollywood Boyfriend in Ranbir Kapoor. He is a tall sexy dude, so I can only understand this. I have always been impressed with him since I watched Barfi! and this movie is just more reasons to love him.
It is a happy, lighthearted, but also deeply moving romantic comedy. Also Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have some of the best chemistry I have seen in a while. It was like jumping off the screen. I hear they dated for a while before, and that is obvious that they still have the chemistry down. Whew!
It's about this studious shy girl Naina (Deepika) who never could socialize much meeting one of her high school friends, Aditi (Kalki Koechlin), a while later and finally getting the courage to come on this hiking trip with them, even though her seat is not confirmed. Bunny (Ranbir) agrees to share his seat so she can come. There are a lot of ups and downs for her, as she still can't socialize well, but Bunny, who was always the adventurous class clown type, and his two friends Aditi and Avi (Aditya Roy Kapur) accept her as she is and soon she is besties with them too.
It's about following dreams, as Bunny goes off to follow his dream and travel the world, and realizing when you need to include other people in your dreams, even if that changes them. It is a very sweet story of friendship, love, fighting and making up with friends, living your dreams, and learning when to compromise and when to just grow. It's a very positive and fun movie. Also, lots of sexy dancing time, including this cameo dance by Madhuri Dixit. Ranbir's got the moves. Yeah! I randomly start singing "Bollywood, Hollywood, very very jollywood" all the time now. This film is super funny and great.
